Plaintiffs-appellants, Johnann Ulrich Hansler and Chedly Saheb-Ettaba, brought this action to recover damages for personal injuries allegedly sustained by Hansler as a result of a dynamite explosion that occurred in the Synergia Ranch in Santa Fe County on November 4, 1983. They named as defendants four individuals and six corporations. The complaint identifies five theories of liability: premises liability; per se liability based on violations of statutes, ordinances, rules and regulations; res ipsa loquitur; absolute liability based on ultra-hazardous activities; and simple negligence.
